Umoja Program

16-week self-development and team building workshops. The first 6 weeks are focused on Intrinsic motivation. The second 6 weeks are focused on extrinsic motivation. The last 4 weeks are geared towards your passion. Creating a cumulative creative project.

Impact of Umoja Writing Workshops in Schools:

  • 200+ students believe that Umoja has contributed to a sense of belonging in their schools.
  • In 2022, UWW has provided over 1,000 hours of direct services
  • Umoja serves 300+ students in Fargo Public Schools, Moorhead and West Fargo High Schools.
  • As a result of Umoja, we have seen an increase in attendance and grades in all grade levels involved.

Weekly Programming

Each program consists of its own weekly theme and activities. Our programs are curated for two different age groups, so every lesson offers the appropriate level of engagement for your little ones.

Community Events

We are committed to creating Free events consistently. We provide youth and families with at-least six community events a year. These events are planned and organized by the Umoja staff and students.

Pipeline To Professions

We have a strong network of workforce agencies and colleges who want to help students before graduating high school. We enhance students’ ability to seek a career, sign up and succeed in the career of their choice.
